Rev. Sr Navya CMC (HEADMISTRESS)
Marian Kindergarten, Etawah, is a Catholic Christian Educational Institution run by the St. Thomas Educational and Medical Society, Etawah for the Christian children. However, we admit any child irrespective of caste, creed, religion and social status. Started in 1967, Marian Kindergarten intends to shape every child under its roof to a whole-some personality ensuring good character and love for humanity, under the exemplary guidance of its dedicated staff.
Admission
Admission to Marian Kindergarten is taken usually in the month of March. A child seeking admission should have completed three and a half years by March,31. The interested parents can register their wards’ names and obtain the Application Forms from the School Counter on payment of required fee on the dates normally announced a month in advance by the Administrative Authorities of the School. Thereupon, the duly filled Application Forms must be submitted on the dates fixed for the same. At the time of submission of Application, the date and time of interaction with the School Authorities will be intimated and on the date fixed for the same the Parents (both Father and Mother) along with the child for whom the admission is sought must report to the School Authorities for the interaction at the time fixed for the purpose.
The Result of interaction is, normally, announced in a week’s time and the Parents of selected children must take their wards’ admission before the last date fixed for it. Thereafter, no request will be entertained and against those vacancies waitlisted children will be admitted. At the time of Admission, a Birth Certificate from Nagar Palika or Gram Panchayat (for candidates from villages) must be submitted. The Certificate should be issued either by Gram Pradhan or Secretary. The date of birth and name once entered will not be changed later.
In the matters of admission, we neither entertain any recommendation nor accept any donation in cash or kind. The selection is always done on the basis of the smartness shown by the child at the time of interaction. It has come to our notice that some people pose as our agents and promise to secure admission on payment of money. If the child gets admission on his/her own merit the so called agent takes the credit and money; if not expresses his helplessness. So, be on your guard.
The details of Text Books, Curriculum, Mode of Evaluation, Syllabus, Uniform, Sports and Games, Co-curricular Activities and Competitions are given in detail in the students’ ‘hand book’ supplied to the KG children.

Marian Kindergarten receives no Government or private aid and the fees realised from students is the only source of revenue. To keep up with the rising costs and salary, fees are adjusted from time to time.

Uniform
The wearing of prescribed uniform is obligatory. Children are allowed to wear colour dress on their Birthdays. The following is the uniform now in force.
Method of Evaluation
With a view to reduce the burden on children at their very young age we have done away with the system of examinations. This also saves children and parents from the examination related anxieties But, in order to have an evaluation of students, which is equally important, we follow a continuous evaluation process under which different tests are conducted at various time intervals.
